3 Ingredient Banana Bread

Seriously, it doesn’t get much easier then this 3 Ingredient Banana Bread recipe. If you don’t have a very high success rate with bread don’t be scared of this recipe because I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to mess this up! …waiting for the bananas to become overripe was just about the hardest part about this recipe! My son loves, loves, LOVES bananas, so I had to hide them from him.

Now this is a 3 Ingredient Banana Bread, however, I strongly suggest you add chocolate chips because they take it to the next level. You can even add chopped walnuts if you’d like. Either is a win-win.

If you’re in need for another great bread recipe for sure check out my Amish Friendship Bread Without Starter. It really is so delicious. Usually it takes at least a week to make a friendship bread, but I have a recipe that allows you to eat it the same day. No starter required!

3 Ingredient Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 Yellow Cake Mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 4-5 Overripe bananas
  • {optional…but encouraged} 1-3/4 cups chocolate chips
  • Any amount works really, I just used what I had left which was 1-3/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a large bowl {or stand mixer} and mix well.
  2. Fill two medium, greased loaf pans, or one large loaf pan
  3. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes

Can you believe how easy this recipe is? Make a few loafs, freeze them and when you are in need for a treat for a friend in need pull one of these loafs out and they will love you forever.

So you tell me, are you going to go back to your banana bread recipe with 12-15 ingredients, and a lot of required instructions? I for one am not because this 3 Ingredient Banana Bread recipe is life changing both for your tastebuds and time. Enjoy!

I make this with a spice cake mix and throw in a handful of walnuts instead of the choco chips. Family loves it! Finally, a way to use up those bananas!

I made the banana today, it’s great. I used half of the batter for cupcakes and the rest for a loaf. I added the whole bag of chocolate chips but that’s too many unless you are a real chocolate lover. This is actually more like a desssert.

I found this recipe on Pinterest today and I’m so glad I did! I was looking for something different to do with my over ripe bananas that I keep in the freezer – I had 10! I was able to put this together with ingredients I had around the house so there was no need to go to the store. It came out awesome! Super tasty and sweet. Thanks so much for the recipe! I will be recreating this often!
