Brussels Sprouts with Bacon, Avocado and Lime

If you love crunchy brussels sprouts than this baked recipes will knock your socks off. Even if you like to boil your brussels sprouts you can still adapt this recipe, and get the same great flavor.

This is my first elaborate brussels sprouts recipe I’ve tried. They are such a great vegetable, and do so many good things for our body that I’m really on the search for great ideas and recipes. So if you have any go ahead and share them with me!

Brussesls Sprouts with Bacon, Avocado & Lime
Recipe adapted from The Little Red House


Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb brussels sprouts
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves diced garlic
  • 3 Tbsp bacon bits
  • Lime juice to coat
  • Salt, black pepper and paprika to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Line a baking sheet with foil
  3. Slice brussels sprouts in 1/4th’s or 1/8th’s
  4. Toss cut brussels sprouts, olive oil, garlic and seasonings together
  5. Spread out in a single layer on the baking sheet
  6. Bake for 20 minutes; toss and bake for 10 minutes more, or until brussels sprouts have browned
  7. Remove from oven
  8. Toss gently with avocado, and more lime juice if necessary
