I send my cute son to school a couple times a week in his school uniform: khaki pants and collar shirt. Thinking about this every day got me to thinking about my “mom uniform.” I love dressing up and getting ready, and I’m always looking for a reason or an excuse to do just that. Trust me! Days when I need to run a few errands around town I’m not wearing my stilettos {believe it or not} but I still like to look put together on my casual days. I thought it would be fun to show you a cute way I like to dress up casual days.

When I was asked to try on a pair of Levi’s® 711 Skinny I was told once you try them on you’ll want to buy them. That was the truth! They feel and look amazing, thanks to the stretch denim and classic silhouette. I love them because they’re comfortable and look good, both attributes are a must on my dressed down days. Well actually they’re always a must, but let’s be honest, it can be so easy to look like a complete dud while running errands. Dress Up Casual Days
I usually gravitate toward low wasted jeans but was excited to try these in a mid rise fit because higher wasted jeans are really hot right now. Definitely a good way to transition your way to higher jeans. When you’re looking for mid-rise and high-rise jeans make sure they are slim throughout your hip and thigh, and have a skinny leg. I look for the same traits in a blouse that I do my skinny jeans. It’s really important to me that they have shape and are clearly made for a woman. Even a Boyfriend T-shirt is made for a woman. Yes they are baggy, but they’re shaped for a woman! While you’re out shopping and can’t tell if the shirt has a good shape or not hold it up at arms length. Does the width appear to be the same length as the height? If the answer is yes then it’s probably too boxy, and it won’t look flattering on you. {If you’re looking at a boxy blouse then make sure there are darts so even if it is boxy it will at least move with your curves and look flattering.}
