Snickers Brownie Bars

UPDATE: I have since made a new and improved recipe with better instructions. The nougat is fluffier and the chocolate sets better. You can get my recipe for Snickers Brownie Bites here on March 7, 2016.Snickers Brownie Bites are rich and sweet with a nougat and salty peanut layer topped with a soft chocolate. www.Embellishmints.com
The only thing that could make these better is if the nougat layer were ice cream!
Snickers Brownie Bars are a delicious way to make your favorite candy bar, and the best way to doctor a brownie mix. You will love these! www.Embellishmints.com

I may be onto something…

SNICKERS BROWNIE BARS

Recipe adapted from Jasey’s Crazy Daisy
Ingredients:
Brownie Layer
  • 1 box of brownie mix
  • Ingredients called for on the box
  • 1/4 cup hot fudge topping, unheated, straight from the jar
Nougat Layer
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 10oz. marshmallow fluff
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1-1/2 cups salted peanuts, roughly chopped
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
Carmel Layer
  • 1 (14 oz.) jar of caramel
Candy Bar Topping
  • 1-1/4 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
Instructions:
  1. Prepare brownie batter according to package directions, then add 1/4 cup hot fudge ice cream topping, unheated and straight from the jar into the batter. Bake in a 9×13″ pan. Cool completely
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add sweetened condensed milk, stirring until combined. Bring to a boil. Add the marshmallow creme, peanut butter, and vanilla stirring until smooth. Turn off heat and fold in chopped peanuts
  3. Pour evenly over cooled brownies. Cool. Can stick in the freezer for about 15 minutes.
  4. Pour caramel over the nougat layer. Make sure it is even. (You can heat the caramel in a saucepan over low heat if you don’t feel like it is soft and easy to use). Place in the freezer for another 15 minutes.
  5. Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter together in a saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally, until smooth. Pour over caramel layer and place in the fridge until the chocolate is set.
  6. Store in the fridge, otherwise the chocolate may melt
ENJOY!

These look and sound deliciously lovely, however i doubt they’d ever get to the “Store in Fridge” stage. I’ll however have to use non salted nuts though. Thanks for sharing

    Hilary,

I’m not a huge brownie eater but this looks really good. I’m tempted to try this but I first need to run it by DH since he’s the all-things baked lover in the house. Thanks for sharing!

I thought that instead of melting chocolate chips with peanut butter, why not use use almond bark. you might have to give up the extra peanut butter, but the bark would set up hard and the brownies would not have to be stored in fridge, PLUS a lot neater to eat.

“Store in fridge” Ha ha that’s a good one. In my house there won’t be anything left.
