Could this really be happening? Is Spring here? If so, then I am giving myself a major pat on the back for getting through winter in Chicago. I heard it was cold here, but I literally did not have a clue. The weather was so great today that we decided to break out our Strider Bikes for the first time this year. We got this bike for my son for his second birthday {he is now 3-1/2} and it has been so much fun watching his confidence grow as he gets better and better.

Did you notice the stickers? He is completely obsessed with stickers and puts them on everything, including his Strider Bike. I actually love that he does it. I want him to feel comfortable and use his imagination as much as possible. Does that mean he can put them on our furniture or the walls? Absolutely not. But I must say one plus side of having hand me down furniture in his room is that I’m ok with him putting them all over his desk… there were some on there when we got it.
There is one rule when it comes to riding his bike, and this is something we made sure he understood from day one. He must wear his helmet. No questions asked! Just because he was two when he got his bike didn’t mean he couldn’t understand and abide by it. To this day he puts his helmet on without us reminding him.
I love this little guy of mine. A year ago I was wondering about the kind of brother he would be and he has exceeded all of my hopes and dreams. He loves his little brother more than anything and it makes me so happy. We are so lucky to have him!
Even if he won’t kiss me because I have lipstick on!
