Welcome Spring!!! Soon enough we will be welcoming open toed shoes with open arms, and I can’t wait. I’m always asked the question, “How do you walk in such high heels?” All the time infact, and it’s easy really, so I decided to do a whole post dedicated to How To Walk in Heels.
In my opinion there’s nothing that can increase your confidence as much as heels. A good pair of heels. Not all heels are created equal my friends. TRUST ME! A woman wearing the right stiletto is unstoppable.
Just for the sake of it go try on designer jeans at Nordstrom and compare them to the jeans you are wearing now. The jeans I’m wearing in this picture felt like smooth butter on my legs, they are so comfortable. Yes they’re super expensive, but I feel like a million bucks in them. {Don’t get me wrong, I still rock my $30 jeans from Target and Old Navy with the best of them…but that’s because I’d much rather splurge on a pair of shoes than jeans. Guilty! I apologize}
Ok, ok, I’ve gone of course a little bit. Back to the subject of the day: How To Walk In Heels. The answer is rather simplistic but here it goes:
- Practice
- Practice
- Practice
There is literally nothing more you can do. The first time I put my So Kate’s on I was 8 months pregnant and I literally almost fell over. Not a good idea! I’ve had worn 4″ heels regularly, but So Kate’s are almost 5, the arch is extremely high and the stiletto is beyond skinny. My equilibrium was way off so I almost toppled over. So what did I do? I practiced wearing my heels. I wore them around the house for weeks before I took them out in public!
WHY?
So I didn’t look like a fool. That’s why!While stilettos have a way of making you look like a force to be reckoned with…they can also make you look ridiculous. If you don’t know how to walk in them, and especially if your ankles slip every time you take a stop, please please please practice at home. Please. Don’t feel silly doing it. We all do!
Thank you B. Jones for providing these beautiful clothes! xoxo
