I have a really hard time relaxing and I stress out way too much…please tell me I’m not the only one. Please. It’s exhausting really, and most the time it’s for absolutely no reason or over something I have no control over.

Let me give you a scenario:

I have two boys. Here’s my thought process about our future: …What if they marry two girls that hate each other? They will never be home for Christmas ever again after they get married. Oh my word! We have to start a family business that they can inherit so they will be forced to stick around. Well, I guess if we don’t have a family business, and they are never around then my husband will have to take me to Hawaii every year for Christmas to make up for it. Ok, great, we’re going to Hawaii.

I mean, my poor husband having to juggle that train of thought regularly, right?! One day he suggested I go get a massage with the hopes that it would help me relax, even if it were just for a day. Guess what, it worked! I got my massage on a Friday and that weekend was like the best, most relaxed couple of days ever. My husband said, “Holy cow, you should get a massage every week if that’s the effect it’s going to have!” And of course I took him literally and have never looked back.

I mean look at these benefits of getting a massage. If that’s not a much needed beauty regimen I don’t know what is. If your spouse is having a hard time with the cost of a massage just list off all these benefits, and be sure to emphasize the fourth one down.

As far as I’m concerned that’s reason enough on its own. I’m just saying!
