The last month of living in Connecticut my friends and I discovered the most amazing sweet potato fries with a browned butter marshmallow glaze at a local restaurant {My recipe below}. We loved them so much we went back not once but twice so we could eat them again. It was to die for and I knew I needed to recreate it with my favorite Alexia Sweet Potato Fries. Let’s get real, I “couldn’t” just eat fries for lunch, so I decided to also make a fresh salad heaping with Alexia Crispy Onion Rings of course. They’re the perfect addition.
I love Alexia products because they are high quality, so versatile and made with all natural ingredients. I wouldn’t say I’m super conscious about eating 100% all natural, but I definitely try to where I can, and these products make it easy to do just that.
These onion rings just melt in your mouth. No one will ever guess that you didn’t spend hours making them from scratch! I could have easily eaten the whole bag. I’m no quitter! You might be wondering where you can purchase a bag of Alexia products yourself, I get mine at Walmart. I pretty much live at Walmart. I know some people don’t like to admit that, or act like they would never step foot in a Walmart, but I have no problem admitting that.
I don’t know about you but when I make a salad I go big! I add everything you can imagine, including a bit of fresh cilantro. I love including pretty much any vegetable. Jicama is my favorite in salads. It has a sweet nutty flavor with a crisp texture of an apple. Yum!
Here’s some step by step photos of my delicious, crunchy salad!
I also want to share my marshmallow glaze recipe too. It’s so delicious, it will knock your socks off! If you want your sauce to be a little sweeter try using less yogurt and/or butter.
That cinnamon-sugar is calling your name!
