Cinnamon Coffee Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 c vegetable oil
  • 1 cups brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees, and prepare a 9×13 pan
  2. In large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, oil, and sour cream. Stir until large lumps are gone
  3. Pour half the batter into the pan
  4. In a medium bowl combine your brown sugar and cinnamon well
  5. Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture all over the batter in the cake pan. Be sure to get the cinnamon all the way to the edge of the pan
  6. Carefully spread the other half of the batter on top, it’s ok if it mixes together
  7. Take a butter knife and twirl it all through the batter so it gets extra swirly
  8. Bake 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
  9. Just when it’s about done baking, mix together  your powdered sugar, vanilla and milk. As soon as the cake is done baking pour the powdered sugar mixture over the warm cake
  10. Try, if you can, to wait about 15 minute before you cut into your yummy cake
