If you’re looking for a really great apple recipe This. Is. It. We had a lot of extra apples and I decided that making an ice cream topping would be a great way to use them all up. These cinnamon apples have become my go-to recipe for nights we have company over. It’s easy and delicious, all you need for a fun night with friends!
Crock-Pot Cinnamon Apples
Crock-Pot Cinnamon Apples
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
- 2 Tbsp margarine or butter
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 6 Gala or Macintosh apples, cored, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup apple juice

- Ice Cream {optional}
Instructions
- In your crockpot mix brown sugar, walnuts, margarine or butter, cinnamon, and apple juice together {be sure to use a utensil that won't scratch your crockpot}
- Peel, and slice your apples
- Place apple slices in crockpot and stir together with apple juice mixture
- Set crock-pot to cook on high for 1 hour, or until apples are soft

I chose to cut my apples so it would be easier for my toddler to eat, and they turned out great. A lot of people choose to simply core their apples, and if you’d like to do that, check out the instructions here.

Ooh, these look so yummy! When I was a little girl, my mom would serve me baked apples in a thick sauce over sweet corn bread and it was so tasty…maybe I will give these a try and let my little girl make a sweet memory too. 🙂
