Growing up I was super lucky to have some of the best neighbors! Even though we’re all grownup, and have moved away, we are still life long friends. Friday nights were Family Pizza Night at their house and I was invited more nights than I can even remember! We ate pizza and watched a movie. It was seriously a highlight of my week, and I absolutely loved the tradition! I remember thinking how I would love to do the same tradition when I had my own family. {I can’t believe I’m old enough to have my own family! This is crazy.}
Pizza was also a big part of our life while we were living in Connecticut while my husband went to grad school. We often got together with our other grad school friends and ate pizza on the weekends. We have loved being able to keep that tradition of Family Pizza Night alive here in Illinois. I’ve really noticed as my boys get older that they enjoy picking which Red Baron pizza we make. I think seeing the pictures on the boxes, and picking the toppings helps them feel a sense of responsibility and involvement.Right now Red Baron is celebrating their 40th year in business! That’s impressive. They have a super funny video, and website in honor of this special throwback. Pizza parties then and now. It’s pretty fun seeing the different outfits and hair styles that have been popular.

We also have a fun time letting the kids use cookie cutters on our Red Baron Pizza for Family Pizza Night. It’s perfect for all holidays and they think it’s pretty much the coolest!

It’s fun passing the tradition on to my son and his friends. Family Pizza Night is always the highlight!
