Giant Ruler and Canvas Prints

I have always loved the idea of documenting the height of my children as they grow up! Since I grew up in the same house I figured it was no big deal to just mark up a wall. Well turns out my oldest wont live in the same house his whole life so that’s not possible…I don’t want to leave such great memories behind for someone else to just paint over!

So I made this amazing giant ruler! I’ve had it on my list of things to do since before my son was born {he’s now 2!} …better late then never I suppose!

I have already updated it with heights from his doctor visits. It makes me so happy to have it hanging. It makes me even more happy to have this perfect canvas print hanging next to it!

I have wanted an Easy Canvas Print canvas print for such a long time!!! They are always offering deals so you need to check out their website. Like now!

It didn’t take me long to decide which picture I wanted on my Canvas Print.
Those hands! I love those hands!

What You Will Need:
1×4 Primed Finger Joint Lumber
Spray Paint
Number Stickers

I got the piece of wood at Home Depot and had them cut it down to 6″
Spray paint it any color you want
Start marking your board with the 6 inch mark to leave room for the base boards
Make your marks darker with a sharpie
Add Stickers for the numbers and name if you want one

*The board only cost a couple dollars. They have larger sizes you can choose from but I was looking to spend the least amount of money! The 1×4 PFJ is an amazing option.
*Starting at the 6″ mark allows this 6′ board to go up to 6’6″. Yes I will make him mark how tall he is when he’s 6 feet tall! I’ll probably make him do it in front of his friends, just to embarrass him a little.

I received this Easy Canvas Print. Regardless all thoughts and opinions are my own.

What picture would you put on your canvas print?
Do you have a Giant Ruler?
