Heavenly Oreo Dessert

School has started back up so the lazy days of summer are behind us! Instead of playing at the park or by the pool all day our afternoons are filled with carpool, homework and sports games and/or piano lessons! That doesn’t leave much time to prepare dinner, let alone a tasty dessert! So in honor of our time suddenly filling up crazy fast I am sharing the recipe for this Heavenly Oreo Dessert.

That’s why you have to try this life changing Heavenly Oreo Dessert. Prepare it right before you go pickup the kids from school and it will be ready and waiting for you once it’s time for dinner.

It really doesn’t get much easier than this Heavenly Oreo Dessert and chances are you already have all of the ingredients at home! There’s a little something for everyone: Oreo cookie lovers in your life {who doesn’t love an Oreo crust?}, whipped cream cheese lovers, and of course chocolate lovers. Hello Chocolate Chocolate and More! You are going to love this.

Another great way to enjoy this dessert is using Golden Oreos and vanilla pudding. Or Mint Oreos. YUM! You really can’t go wrong. The only problem you may find is keeping little fingers out of this goodness before you serve it.

You can’t really blame them though. Kids seem to naturally gravitate toward tasty desserts. They will for sure love this Heavenly Oreo Dessert.

Heavenly Oreo Dessert

Ingredients

  • 1-15.35 package Double-Stuffed Oreo cookies
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 packages {3.9 oz., each} Instant Chocolate pudding mix
  • 3-1/4 cups cold milk
  • 2 {8 oz.} containers Cool Whip
  • 1 {8 oz.} cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Place all the Oreo cookies inside a large zip-lock bag, seal the bag and crush the cookies until they are small chunks.
  2. Set aside half of the cookie chunks into a 9×13 baking pan. Pour the melted butter over the crumbs and mix well to combine. Once combined, press into the pan to form the crust.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the 2 pudding mixes and milk. Cover and place in fridge to set.
  4. In a medium bowl, blend cream cheese until smooth. Slowly add in powdered sugar, than fold in one container of Cool Whip. Spread mixture over the cookie crust.
  5. Spread the chocolate pudding over the cream cheese mixture. Then spread the other container of Cool Whip over the chocolate pudding layer. Sprinkle the top with the remaining cookie crumbs.
  6. Cover and chill in fridge at least 2 hours before serving.
