We decided last minute to have some friends over before the holiday hustle really started. They had been begging to see our house, and even though our main floor walls are covered in swatches {because we haven’t decided on colors yet} we invited them over. I’m hoping we figure out a color in the family room soon so I can put the Christmas tree up as soon as possible! I did learn a thing or two from this last minute party we had, and that’s How To Throw A Party In Under 30 Minutes! Literally. Ready in 30 minutes!
Do you live in the Chicagoland area? Check out the event happening this weekend…info below
It was an appetizer and dessert party, which is always a hit because who doesn’t love appetizers and dessert? You should really consider this for your holiday parties coming up. This time of year the last thing I want is something that adds stress. I want to get together with my friends and have fun!
So here are my tips that will help you throw a party in under 30 minutes!
- Buy pre-made food
- Like Pagoda Asian Snacks. You either place them in the oven, or the microwave, it doesn’t get much easier than that!
- Buy fresh fruit
- Fruit that doesn’t require any prep is best. Fruit like grapes and raspberries. All you have to do is wash them and you’re done
- Set up the night before
- If you have certain plates and serving dishes you’d like to use try setting up the night before. Think about using dishes that really help the food pop! Since Pagoda Asian Snacks are all a tannish color I opted for a darker colored plate and fresh herbs to help make our food pop!
- Enjoy yourself!
- Remember, you invited your friends over. Your friends will love you no matter what, right!?
Do you live in the Chicagoland Area? Then this December 3rd you need to check out the Pagoda Fresh-to-Frozen Wonderland at the Lincoln Park Zoo’s ZooLights. What is Pagoda’s Fresh-to-Frozen Wonderland? Unique ice sculptures built to show off all the fresh ingredients that make up all of Pagoda’s delicious Asian snacks! You can also sample their yummy appetizers too.
Lincoln Park Zoo’s ZooLights has several lights displays, and free family-oriented celebrations {which are happening through the month!}
Do you plan on attending?
I just know my boys would love it!
This post is brought to you by Pagoda Asian Snacks. However, all thoughts and ideas are my own!
I’ve already pinned this on my holidays and parties board! Thanks for sharing with us at the Funtastic Friday Blog Hop!
I love the idea of an appetizer and dessert party! How fun. We rarely serve appetizers anymore since no one ever has room left for the meal.

Your serving dish is amazing!! I love the rustic look. So classy! Thanks for sharing with us at the Share the Wealth Sunday link up!!
Great tips for an easy party. I have to always remind myself to relax. The old restaurant person in me that did all the planning for all our events small and big, and the hope that everyone has the best time is with me every single party I host. Sigh. #TurnItUpTuesdays
Great tips! Thanks for linking up to Merry Monday! Pinned! Have a great week!
