My Morning Routine and Hydrating Moisturizer

This post is sponsored by Olay but all thoughts and opinions are my own

Is there anything in your morning routine that you have to do before you walk out the door? Maybe before you even leave your bedroom? I have to wash my face, first thing in the morning! Is there a worse feeling than having a dirty face? Ok, maybe having a dry face is worse, at the very least it’s just as bad. Do you know what I mean? There is a big difference between soft, babylike skin and dry skin. Infact I use hydrating moisturizer so often I’m pretty sure my cheeks feel as soft and kissable as my sweet three-year-old’s.

My morning routine is pretty much the same as my night time routine:

  • Wash my face or shower {I pat my face lightly with a towel then let it air dry}
  • Put my contacts in/out
  • Put lotion on my face
  • Put lotion on my body
  • Brush my teeth

I really try and make sure I get lotion on my face within a couple of minutes to really utilize the moisture from my shower. Then there’s my body. I’m pretty sure I use 3 times the amount of lotion my husband uses. How many pumps do you use on each leg and each arm? He uses maybe one for his arms and one for his legs. I can feel my skin drying up just thinking about it. I use at least two pumps for each limb. You, and he, may think I go a little overboard but if you want your husband commenting on how soft your skin is then do as I say and as I do. Trust me.

You’re never too young to start taking really good care of your skin. Especially your face, neck, décolletage and hands. The problem is there is so much information out there about what creams and lotions give the best results. I recently read about an independent study by the Good Housekeeping Institute. They found that Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream outperformed 10 top prestige creams, including one with a $440 price tag. With studies you have to be really careful and do research on who was backing the actual study. That’s why I love this study so much, it was independent from Olay. I also love the fact that Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream is under $30. That’s a lot better than $440 if you ask me.

Can you imagine spending $440 with the hope of improving your skin? That’s 16 times more expensive than Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream. That’s a lot of money. Instead of spending hundreds of dollars on prestige creams that over-promise and under-deliver, we can now turn to Olay for the best possible skin care, at a fraction of the cost. I like that!

Another reason to love Olay Regnerist is that it will work for you through all stages of life. 20s, 30s, 40s and beyond, because it’s not just an anti-aging cream. It’s also perfect for moisturizing as well. It doesn’t matter how old you are, hydration is so important. If you’re a younger woman looking for a cream that will help you prevent anti-aging, then you want something that hydrates.

You can never start taking really good care of your skin too early.
