Nest Learning Thermostat Review

Have you ever heard of a Learning Thermostat that programs itself, and you can control from anywhere? Neither had I, until my husband started researching them. My first reaction was something like are you kidding me? we’re spending money on what? Then we got it and my tune has changed y’all. I love this thing!

Let me tell you a little bit about this pretty little thing!

Learns what temperature you prefer
Creates a custom schedule for your home based on your usage
Turns itself down when you’re away
You can change the temperature from anywhere via Wi-Fi
Shows your system usage history
Reminds you to conserve energy
It will display a Nest Leaf when you have selected a temperature that will help you save

Why I love it!

I love being able to double check the temperature from anywhere. If I plan to be gone all day I don’t have to worry about it heating/cooling my house all day. Pretty convenient!
I have the app on my phone, so if I’m out and about and heading home I can check the temperature. If it’s too cold, or too hot, I can adjust the temperature so the house is perfect when I get home.
The energy history has got to be my favorite part. It shows when your system was on/off and what caused energy usage to be above/below the weekly average. Reasons including being away, your adjustments and the day’s weather.
You receive a monthly energy report which shows trends in your energy use and tips to save money.
I can turn the temperature up/down in my own bed! Bonus!
