Oatmeal Mask DIY Recipe

I love finding inspiration for my beauty routines and style inspiration, but I’ve never thought of looking toward my beauty routine for inspiration for healthy meals. What’s the first food you think of when thinking about beauty products? I think of oatmeal. My girlfriends and I made our favorite Oatmeal Mask DIY Recipe all the time at slumber parties.

Nowadays my boys ask me to make them oatmeal for breakfast at least three times a week. Which I love because it’s the perfect meal! Oatmeal contains nutrients that are known to give your body energy. {Not something my boys need more of, but I definitely do!}

The collaboration between St. Ives and NY-hot spot OatMeals makes perfect sense.

St. Ives new Nourished & Smooth Oatmeal Body Scrub is made with 100% natural exfoliants to soften skin and smooth away dryness, which is so important during these cold winter months. It is something I can’t live without! There is nothing worse than dry skin under layers and layers of clothing.
What creative ideas do you have for your oatmeal? Recipes you can draw from to make the most delicious recipe?
Here’s my go-to:

Oatmeal Mask DIY Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup hot water, not boiling
  • 1/3 cup oatmeal
  • 2 Tbsp plain yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 1 egg white

Instructions

  1. Combine hot water and oatmeal and let sit for 2-3 minutes
  2. Mix in yogurt, honey and egg white
  3. Apply a thin layer of the mask to your face, let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with warm water
    • Place a strainer in your sink to avoid clogging the drain, or wash it off in your kitchen sink

How do you find inspiration for your beauty routines and style inspiration?
What is your favorite natural exfoliant to soften skin and smooth away dryness?
