I’ve learned a lot after moving to different parts of the country several times over the last couple of years. My husband and I both grew up in Utah, we moved to Connecticut so he could attend grad school, then moved to the Midwest for a job right after graduation. As you can imagine I’ve had a lot of different hair stylists with all those moves under my belt. When I meet with a new stylist there are two things I know she is going to say!
I’ve also been dying my hair blonde ever since we graduated. I guess it was my way of saying, “Hey! You deserve to spend a little money on yourself!” I’ve loved it but I also know how damaging it can be. Because of going blonde, and because I want my hair to be as healthy as possible I’ve definitely taken my stylists’ advice to heart.
They’ve all given me a few tips on how to work with both thin hair, and oily hair. I thought I’d share some of those tips with you today!
I’ve really noticed a difference since I started “training” my hair. When I had my oldest son I started washing it every other day, just for time sake. It was annoying to me because I wasn’t used to it, and I hate the feeling of oily hair. Then I discovered dry shampoo and that made all the difference in the world. Now that I’ve trained my hair to go more than a day or two between shampoos I don’t have to use dry shampoo everyday! I would say I wash it twice a week and that has worked out perfectly for me. My boys can only be trusted on their own for so long ya know!
Deep conditioning my hair once a week has made a difference, too. While my hair close to the crown of my head is oily, the ends are dry! So dry.Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Strong Conditioning Treatment really is a miracle. Remember, I don’t have a lot of time to spend in the shower. Plus, it has 3x the moisturizing power so my hair feels nourished and hydrated after I use it.
Doing a weekly deep conditioning for your hair is really important! Especially {especially} if you color it often. Coloring your hair can be damaging, and expensive. So if you’re willing to shell out a lot of money each month, spend 3 minutes a week deep conditioning it so your hair looks as fabulous as you hope!
We’re all busy, right? One thing I’ve found that I absolutely love shopping on Amazon, and having my Aussie’s 3 Minute Miracle Strong Conditioning Treatment, and other great products shipped to my home. It’s a huge time-saver. Not to mention it can be a bit of a nightmare taking two, soon to be three, little boys to the store.
