In a couple weeks I’m going to an Art Deco themed party to benefit a local Symphony Orchestra. Themed parties, galas and balls can be so fun to attend but I can see how they can be overwhelming because sometimes it’s scary thinking outside of your comfort zone (aka Little Black Dress). So if you are wondering what to wear to an Art Deco themed party, or maybe you want to throw one yourself, here are a few tips:

Look for bold delineated geometric shapes and strong colors. Think black and gold. Even blushing pink, cream and nude with a lot of embellishments. Stack on that jewelry too. The more pearls and tassels the better!
