What To Wear When You Feel Bloated

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Levi’s®. All opinions are 100% mine.

It doesn’t matter how skinny you are, we all have days where we feel bloated. I hate getting dressed when I feel bloated because nothing in my closet seems to fit right so I definitely have an outfit in mind for days when I feel bloated. I’ve found the less time I spend in my closet and in front of a mirror the better!

Crazy enough when I was pregnant with my second son I noticed a difference in my midsection almost immediately. I felt like I really had to camouflage my bloated stomach right from the get go. I don’t recall that being the case with my oldest and I didn’t like that the changes happened so fast. There are a few tips I utilized until I could finally tell people I was pregnant, and they happen to be the same for days when I’m feeling bloated too.

I decided I would share some of my tips to help you out…

What To Wear When You Feel Bloated

Tip #1: Wear black
Black clothes make you look skinnier. Make sure if you’re wearing a black top that your pants or skirt are a solid color. You wouldn’t want a pattern or strips to look stretched out in some places. And always make sure your stripes are not horizontal. Nine times out of 10 they simply don’t work on us mere mortals.

Tip #2: Wear flowy tops
Flowy tops distract the eye from your midsection. Bonus if you find one with cute sleeves, or a high-low hem like mine because all eyes look downward.

Tip #3: Wear skinny jeans
Look for skinny jeans with some stretch like these Levi’s® 711 Skinny . These skinny jeans are so comfortable and have an amazing stretch. They are available at Macy’s and I suggest you go at least try them on!

I especially love wearing skinny jeans when I’m feeling bloated because it gives the added illusion of a slimmer lower body. If you’re naturally skinny and feel bloated then skinny jeans and a flowy top are the perfect camouflage. No one will be the wiser.

Tip #4: Wear your hair, jewelry and makeup in a flattering way
Days like these are not days to try something new. Don’t wear a bold lipcolor you’ve never worn before because you wont feel comfortable. I tend to keep my jewelry at a minimum so I don’t feel weighted down by heavy statement pieces. Remember: the key is to look and feel fabulous.

Tip #5: Exercise and posture
Make sure you keep up a regular exercise routine. Even if you look bloated you will feel a lot better than if you don’t. Exercise also helps with posture, and we all know what a difference good posture makes. Don’t believe me? Go practice your posture in the mirror and you will see for yourself how different your midsection looks.
