Don’t we all know how to bake sweet potato fries?
I normally use the usual oil and salt but that just wasn’t cutting it so on the hunt I went.
And ya kow, I gotta say, thank goodness for Paula Dean because she has turned such a simple recipe into a masterpiece. Truly.
Now I’m afraid with all this hype you might be a little disappointed when you see there is only one ingredient that changed everything regarding the sweet potato fry.
Baked Sweet Potato Fries
Recipe Slightly Adapted from: Paula Dean
Ingredients:
- Olive Oil, for tossing
- 5 sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced into 1/4 inch long slices
- Salt
- Paprika
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees
- Toss the sweet potatoes with enough oil to coat.
- Sprinkle with salt and paprika
- Spread sweet potatoes in single layer on prepared baking sheet
- Bake until sweet potatoes are tender and golden brown (about 20 minutes), turning occasionally
If I had one, paprika would be on the top of my “Favorite Spices List”
