Baked Sweet Potato Fries Paula Dean Style

Don’t we all know how to bake sweet potato fries?
I normally use the usual oil and salt but that just wasn’t cutting it so on the hunt I went.
And ya kow, I gotta say, thank goodness for Paula Dean because she has turned such a simple recipe into a masterpiece. Truly.


Now I’m afraid with all this hype you might be a little disappointed when you see there is only one ingredient that changed everything regarding the sweet potato fry.
Baked Sweet Potato Fries
Recipe Slightly Adapted from: Paula Dean
Ingredients:
  • Olive Oil, for tossing
  • 5 sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced into 1/4 inch long slices
  • Salt
  • Paprika
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees
  2. Toss the sweet potatoes with enough oil to coat.
  3. Sprinkle with salt and paprika
  4. Spread sweet potatoes in single layer on prepared baking sheet
  5. Bake until sweet potatoes are tender and golden brown (about 20 minutes), turning occasionally
If I had one, paprika would be on the top of my “Favorite Spices List”
