Fashion Friday: How To Wear A High Low Jacket

I have wanted a cute blazer for quite some time. I have a couple that I purchased as a broadcasting student, but I’ve wanted something on the trendy side for a while. Cute blazers have been around for a couple years now but like I’ve told you before I’m not going to just go buy something because you’re supposed to. I wait until I find something I love and at a price I can’t afford not to get!

Last week I went to Target because I needed contact solution…did you know they have the cheapest contact solution? Somehow I made my way into the clothing section and came out with two tops and a blazer. That contact solution became expensive real fast! But everything I got was at such an amazing price I couldn’t afford not to get it! Plus Mother’s Day was coming up and I made the executive decision that it was part of my Mother’s Day gift, along with a swim suit I had purchased a few weeks prior. …I have a bad habit buying something and saying it’s for {fill in the blank/nearest holiday}. Please tell me I’m not the only one with that problem.

If you can’t afford to get your jacket or blazer tailored look for something with extra detail to help deter the fact that it’s not tailored perfectly to you. The black fabric on my jacket cuts in so it gives a slimming appearance. I also like the extra touch on the sleeves, black material and tweed. I wont wear it buttoned because it does hang loose and really accentuates the fact that I am the flattest person in the world

How to wear a high low jacket!

Dressed up: Wear all black and white, even if your jacket is another color {pictured above}
TIP: When you wear all black and white use a lot of different textures, like the lacy top and tweed jacket I wore. Spice it up with some great accessories! I didn’t accessories much because I wanted my nails to do the extra talking. I used 4 different colors

Casual Chic:
jacket, white high low shirt, skinnies, open toed flats, yellow jewelry
