How To Shop: Designer Shoes

While buying shoes you have to ask yourself one question: Am I looking for a shoe that I can wear forever, or do I want something that is a little more trendy?

Only you can decide how much you want to spend. Chances are if you see a pair of designer shoes that you fall head over heels for there is a more affordable shoe made by someone else. I’ll show you some of those down below!

Take the classic black pump, a shoe every woman should have in her closet. The classic black pump will never go out of style. Ever! You might want to consider spending a little more to ensure the quality and craftsmanship is up to par for several years of use.

Designer shoes usually cost at least $700. That’s quite the investment.

So how do you know if the splurge for a designer shoe is worth it?

Your first pair of designer shoes should be the shoe you always dreamed about wearing. A fantasy object that makes you feel special every time you slip them on.

If you see a designer shoe that you absolutely love, like you just can’t live without it… wait at least a month to purchase them. If you keep thinking about it and dreaming about them then you know it will be worth it to you in the long run.

Better yet, wait a year! Save up some money so it isn’t such a burden on your bank account, and if you still see the shoe next season you will know it’s a pair that will stand the test of time!

I’ll tell you about the first pair of designer shoes I fell in love with.

The Christian Louboutin So Kate Pump. I’ve never seen a shoe with a sexier profile!

To say I loved these shoes is an understatement and my husband, knowing I would never buy them for myself, purchased my first pair for me. Black! It took me 9-months to even wear them out in public because I was so self conscious about wearing such expensive shoes.

What would others think?

Then I reminded myself I wasn’t wearing these shoes for anyone but myself and I’ve never looked back.

So let’s look at designer shoes, and their more affordable counterpart(s):
