I haven’t always made dinner religiously. Infact the first few years of marriage I can count on one hand the meals I made (over, and over, and over again!). My Chili, Chicken and Wild Rice, Italian Chicken and Taco Soup. I probably only planned a meal, on average, like once every two weeks. I look back and seriously wonder what we ate half the time…and now that I’ve thought about it, I can tell you…some sort of pasta, and chicken, and veggies-not always together.
I tried many things over those first couple years to get the ball rolling. I looked at blog after blog about couponing, how to plan meals, etc. I’m pretty sure I’ve tried couponing 3 dozen times! It was so overwhelming to me…how are you supposed to plan meals by looking through the ads?
Then there were the blogs that told you how to plan meals, weeks and months in advance. Those are great, they really are. The only problem was, I really had no desire to make any of their recipes. I don’t know why, they just didn’t interest me.
