I love Oreo’s, always have, and I assume I always will. I never bought them because they’re so high in fat and calories AND expensive! Some stores sell them for like $4.50. Not gonna happen folks! …well that was until I looked one day and saw there’s no dairy in them! Sweet, a treat I could actually eat when I was on my (doctor recommended) non-dairy diet. Now I totally buy them, meh, oh well! But I never buy them if they are over $3.00, because you can almost always find them on sale at Walmart.

I decided to venture out of the norm and try a couple varieties of Oreo’s. Here’s what I thought:

Mint-Life changing. Amazing. Love them!
Strawberry Shortcake-Had one at my in-laws house and didn’t need another one. They are really rich. Maybe it would be good mixed into some vanilla ice cream.?! I’ll probably never find out because I will never buy them.
Peanut Butter-My brother-in-law is obsessed with these! Thinks they’re the best thing since sliced bread. You don’t see them very often so when I saw them for the first time I had to try them. They were good, but don’t hold a candle to the regular/mint ones. I think maybe they would be good as Oreo balls (ya know like cake balls only without frosting, dipped in chocolate). I was surprised I wasn’t over the moon in love with these because I love peanut butter!
Golden-Right up there with Mint. I LOVE them.
Golden with Chocolate-They’re a lot like E.L. Fudges.
Chocolate filling-These are good. You can really taste the cookie. The filling is sweeter, so I like it better then the peanut butter ones, which aren’t as sweet.
Heads or Tails-Can’t go wrong with these. They’re double stuff so it’s like 2 cookies in one…if you’re feeling crazy you can always open it up and eat them separate! Like I said, 2 cookies in one!
Original Oreo-It’s gotta be double stuff for me…but the Mr. prefers regular to double stuff.
I’ve never tried any of the cakesters or chocolate/fudge covered ones.

How do you eat an Oreo? Kind of like, there’s no wrong way to eat a Reeses peanut butter cup! Only I think there is a wrong way to eat both!!!!! The Mr. (and most guys I know) shove the whole thing in their mouth. How, I ask, how can you even enjoy that? I on the other hand take about 10 bites, I like to enjoy my little treat and make it last. Maybe that’s why boys can eat a whole pack of anything Oreo’s in 2 seconds!

haha, this post makes it seem like I eat Oreo’s All.The.Time. The above statments were realized over a very long period of time. Now that I can have dairy I don’t eat them nearly as much! Or buy them, but I still like them.

The End
Hilary

  • I'm a golden with chocolate filling person. I know I'm in the minority, but I never cared for any Oreo that had a chocolate cookie. I do enjoy cookies & cream-flavored ice cream though.
