I have a lot of great posts coming up, and have already scheduled a lot of them! But when I saw this video I knew I had to push everything back! Dove does a beautiful job of not only teaching us but showing us that we are beautiful…just the way we are.

Only 4% of women consider themselves beautiful, can you believe that? Dove hired an FBI-trained forensic artist to draw two pictures of several women. The first based on the woman’s descriptions of themselves and second taken from the descriptions of someone they got to know earlier that day. The differences are astounding!
As I start posting more and more pictures of myself for fashion posts it has been amazing to see how critical I am of myself. I am very self conscious when it comes to taking pictures of just me! If it’s staged I immediately turn off because it feels so unnatural. I’d say 99% of the pictures taken for said fashion posts don’t make the cut because of one small detail that no one else would even notice.
These women are so hard on themselves, and they are all so beautiful! They are just as nit-picky with themselves as I am. I wonder how I would describe myself vs how someone else would describe me. I have a few things I know I would say right off that no one else would notice, but I wont share them with you for fear that you’ll notice in my next fashion post! Since I wont share does that mean I haven’t learned anything from this video?
