Thank you so much for visiting Embellishmints, I’m so happy you learned to learn more about Restaurants in Columbus You Must Visit! You will also find my suggestions for travel items.
Traveling in style and comfort is a must!
My cute family and I had the best time in Columbus and I’m really excited to share more of our trip with you. You can learn more about where we stayed and the activities we did while we were there here. One of my favorite things about traveling is trying restaurants unique to the area and we did just that. We found some great restaurants in Columbus that you need to try.
Restaurants in Columbus
North Market
The North Market is a public market with over 30 merchants and farmers who sell a wide variety of fresh and local food. North Market was one of the first places we visited and we loved it so much we went back two more times. On Saturdays they hold a farmers market on their outdoor market, and on Sundays they have a Peddler’s Picnic, where you can purchase items from local artists. Here are some of the shops we loved most, and what we ordered:
Taste Of Belgium:
Lavender Sugar and Lemon Curd Crepes
Fruit and Cream Waffles
Banana and Nutella Waffles
Next time I want to try just a plain waffle. They were delicious all on their own too!
Destination Donuts:
Lemon Raspberry
Dueling Vanilla
My husband chose the donuts and I was really surprised by the Lemon Raspberry. It’s just not a flavor I would have picked, but I absolutely loved it! Next time I see that flavor combination I’m going to get it for sure.
Restaurants in Columbus
Bareburger
Barburger is a regional chain that prides itself in being eco-minded. They had a great selection of organic burgers, and delicious sides.
Condado
Condado is a really fun, laid back restaurant that we came across while walking down High Street. They have a really cool menu where you build your own tacos with their long list of options. I honestly don’t remember what filling we chose but I highly suggest the guacamole. It was amazing! Next time I’d for sure only order 2 tacos, because I was so full from the guacamole.
Restaurants in Columbus
The Pearl
We just had to try The Pearl because it came highly recommended. Plus it was voted the Best Short North Restaurant in Columbus. If I hadn’t been pregnant I for sure would have tried their oysters and clams. We all loved what we ordered here.
Old Fashioned Deviled Eggs: I love deviled eggs and honestly I don’t think I’ve tried one that I didn’t love
Southern Fried Chicken: Probably the best southern fried chicken dish I’ve had. That may or may not be because it was paired with a delicious cinnamon sticky bun, but let’s just say I was really happy with my choice
Pub Burger My husband got this burger and he really enjoyed it too
Fresh Pies We happened to also be celebrating my son’s birthday so we were excited to get a candle on top of one of our fresh pies. They make them daily, so make sure you ask what they have when you go. You may even want to order it at the beginning so you definitely get the dessert you wanted. Nothing worse than running out of the fresh pie you were dreaming of trying!
Restaurants in Columbus
Milestone229
Milestone 229 is on the Scioto Riverfront’s Scioto Mile, right next to the Scioto Mile Fountain {read more about that here}. Their meals are comfort driven and my boys couldn’t get enough of it.
Beef Brisket Hash: I love hash potatoes and a really great bearnaise sauce so getting this dish was a no brainer for us
Belgian Waffle: We got the boys a Belgian waffle to share and ended up needing another one because they completely devoured it
Homer’s French Toast: One of my husband’s favorite things is bread pudding so when I saw the description for this french toast we had to get it and it was absolutely delicious!
We had such a great time in Columbus and I’m so happy I was able to document it here on Embellishmints. We love seeing new cities and I look forward to our next vacation that I can share with you! Until then, I hope you’ve enjoyed my recommendations for restaurants in Columbus that you need to visit.
Have you been to Columbus? Which restaurants in Columbus do you suggest we visit?
This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Experience Columbus. The opinions and text are all mine.
I love Columbus, I have lots of family who live there. My family and I have several food allergies but we love Fusion sushi which has gluten free, dairy free and vegan options. We also love Soodles, which is an amazing gluten free and dairy free bakery.
Thanks for sharing this post at Thursday Favorite Things! I sent the link to my sister-in-law who moved to Columbus last year and is still getting to know everything. She is a foodie so I know she will love the post!
Looks like you found some great eating spots! We always try to find local/ unique restaurants to eat in when we’re travelling; that’s half the fun! Thanks so much for sharing with us at the Summer Time Fun Linky. Pinned.
Whoa these look great! Thanks for sharing at Home Sweet Home!

As a native, north market is overpriced and bare burgers is overrated. The Pearl is the only restaurant on this list worth trying. You totally left off the best, most underrated restaurant in the city which is G.Michaels in German Village.
No German Village? That’s a tragedy as there are several delicious little restaurants and bakeries there. One of my favs is Jurgens.
Those are some good eats! Thanks for sharing at the #InspirationSpotlight party. See you again soon. Shared.
I love the North Market. Did you get to try Hot Chicken Takeover! It is fabulous. Here is a link to a post inspired by the chicken. Do you live close to Columbus. We are just north of Cincinnati. Thanks for sharing with us a Throwback Thursday! Pinned!
