 Simplicity speaks for itself.

Here’s a little story about Jacqueline Kennedy
When she and the President went to Iran she chose to wear a single strand of pearls when meeting the royal family. The pearls were understated and beautiful. She chose not to compete with the royal family, simply because she could not. (Imagine that, a Kennedy being trumped!) But as you can imagine she still looked breathtaking.

Why do I share this?

Because sometimes I think we women feel like we need to compete or “keep up” with one another. That’s simply not the case. If you can’t afford something that doesn’t mean you go without food on the table, or heat in the house until you can! You use what you have-and you rock it! Some of the most iconic women in American history have many pictures of them wearing understated pieces, and they look beautiful.

Gorgeous!
You can get a pearl necklace at Kohl’s, or Target.
It doesn’t have to be real! No one knows the difference anyway.
If you’re wanting to spend a little more money check out Ralph Lauren, he makes the most beautiful pearl necklaces.

You can get a fabulous pair of sunglasses at Target for less then $15
AND while you’re at it get a trench coat too. No need to get one from Burberry

Similar buttons, similar buckles, similar looks.
Only difference is, one costs $1,300 and the other is $50.

I love these quotes by Coco Chanel:
I looked up the word classy, just for fun!
Classy:
1) meaning very stylish and elegant.
2) not crude or disgusting or dirty or depressing
2) a deeper, more meaningful word for ‘cool’
haha There’s your word for the day! If you think something’s cool say Classy instead!
Stay Classy and Fabulous!

What I Wore Wednesday

I’m not really into the whole take a picture of what you wore and post it…but for some reason I totally LOVE this outfit!
So I decided to try it out, and came up with this!
Ruffle Tuxedo Blouse: Victoria’s Secret
Sweater: Target
Skinny Jeans: Target
Shoes: Target (End of season sale…$12 folks!)
These shoes are actually really comfortable. I wore them all day!
They look a lot like a pair of Aldo heels I have…only my Aldo’s weren’t $12.
I saw a watch like this at Guess a couple years ago and fell in love with it immediately! I loved the big face-which you see all over the place now. It was $90, and I didn’t really want spend that much money on a watch, simply because I don’t wear watches all that often! But lucky me, I found this pretty at Target for less then $15 like the next week 🙂
I.Love.Target!
Anyway, here’s my go at “What I Wore Wednesday” … do you like these posts?
I’m interested to know…so give me some feedback 🙂
